BEAP-CF is an acronym for BSD Enthusiasts And Professionals of Central Florida. It means a BSD user group for the Central Florida area. The name BSD means Berkeley Software Distribution, and designates a series of Unix variants developed by the University of Berkeley including the PDP-11 and modified for PC under the name of 386BSD. Their peculiarity is that they systematically make public all their achievements and they try to expand their group. BEAP-CF group exists to promote, foster, and develop skills in the use of the Linux operating system and to provide learning opportunities for members with all levels of ability.
